PDFs you open in FileKindly are processed entirely in your browser. They are not uploaded to or stored on our servers.
The one exception: online background removal
“Remove background with AI” normally runs on your device. If your browser can't run it, we offer an online remover instead, and only after you agree. In that case the photo is sent to our processing service (currently poof.bg), used only to remove the background, and not stored by us. We keep a daily count of how many times it was used, linked to your account or to a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, to enforce the free limit.
What we store
- Account: your email address and a hashed password.
- Plan and billing: your plan and a Stripe customer reference. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
- Saved details: on Free they stay in your browser's local storage. On Pro they are stored with your account so they sync between devices.
Advertising
Free accounts and visitors see ads served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage this at Google's Ads Settings. Visitors in the UK and EEA are asked for consent first.
